A Centrally Sponsored scheme title “Apparel for Exports” has been formulated with a view to involve State Governments in promoting investments in the apparel sector. The Scheme is intended to impart focused thrust to setting up of apparel manufacturing units of international standards at Potential growth centers and to give fillip to exports in this sector So as to achieve the target of US$ 25 billion by 2010 as envisaged in the our National Textile Policy, 2000 (NTxP-2000).

The locational Suitability of the site  with 2 acres of land in apparel  Park allotted by SIPCOT  near sriperumbudur in regard proximity to international airport / Seaport access to railheads etc. existence of an industrial Commercial and Social infrastructure, linkage with hinterland for inputs, existence of Communication facilities, availability of water and Power.

The fund requirements for settingup an apparel unit will be approximately INR 20 Crores and it should be indicated itemwise on all the components of the Project which Should touch upon basic assumptions made for unit Prices, Physical and Price  Contigencies , escalation and annual costs.
